The purpose of this exercise is to learn more about Reconstruction by looking at the perspectives of four different people who lived during the time period. This lesson is based on the PBS program entitled "Reconstruction: The Second Civil War."

This website gives a short overview of the video and introduces the four people you will be researching. Read this carefully and explore the links provided regading your person to be researched. Feel free to use whatever other sites you can find to complete this assignment, but be sure to include a bibliography of all sources used.

1. Picture of the person assigned.
2. 150-250 word Biography: focus mostly on their role within Reconstruction.
3. 150-250 word answer to the following question: what did you learn about Reconstruction as a result of researching this person?
